TRS maize flour is a particularly popular flour in India and Pakistan for making sweet pastries. Mixed with a little wheat flour, it is also sometimes used to bake bread. Maize flour is made by carefully and finely grating maize kernels, the resulting flour is also called polenta.
Yellow, ground maize flour.
Becomes creamy and smooth when cooked.
Sometimes corn flour is combined with wheat flour, buckwheat flour or chestnut flour in polenta recipes.
Gluten-free.
Corn flour is also an ingredient in some flatbreads and cornbreads.
